Win a 'greyt' day out at Discover Dogs

To help us celebrate the launch of A Greyhound A Day, those nice folk at the Kennel Club have given us 2 tickets to giveaway for Discover Dogs.

If you love dogs, Discover Dogs really is a greyt day out. It takes place at Earls Court 1, London on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 November 2011.

You'll get the chance to meet and greet over 200 breeds of dogs as well as indulge in a spot of retail therapy. There is a whole host of stalls selling all sorts of doggy delights along with many dog rescues and charities like the Retired Greyhound Trust.

The dogs are grouped together in their breed groups and for greyhound and sighthound fans, the hound group is definitely the group to see.  You'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the (not so) distant relative of the Greyhound including:

Saying hello to a beautiful Borzoi

• Azawakh
• Borzoi
• Cirneco dell'Etna
• Deerhound
• Ibizan Hound
• Irish Wolfhound
• Pharoah Hound
• Saluki
• Sloughi
• Whippet

Wanted! Greyhound Poster Guys & Gals

Those of us lucky enough to share our lives (and sofas) with greyhounds already know what fabulous companions they make.

Here at the A Greyhound A Day project we want to share that knowledge and love of greyhounds with the wider world and help ex-racers find loving homes and comfy sofas to spend their retirement on.

To do this, we need your help! We'd like A Greyhound A Day to feature photos of greyhounds looking for homes, photos of greyhounds enjoying life: rooing, the greyhound grin, roaching & more - we'd love to see your photos.

We hope that the project will grow and over time develop into an informative resource for greyhound lovers and people who are thinking about adopting greyhounds.

Launching a Greyhound A Day

Hello and Welcome to A Greyhound A Day

We're working on our launch and need your help!

We hope to publish a fab photo of a greyhound, every day, 365 days' a year. Photos of greyhounds having fun, snoozing, looking for homes...we want to share them with you.

So, if you'd like to share your photos and help promote what greyt pets greyhounds make after their racing careers, don't be shy - send us an email.  Click on the About tab at the top and please send us photos.
